MISAPOR - Innovation from tradition

MISAPOR is a purely mineral product that consists of 98% used glass. And when it comes to recycling used glass, Switzerland is one of the world leaders – with a collection rate of over 95% for container glass! However, these surpluses cannot be completely processed by the glass industry. In line with the upcycling concept, we transform these surpluses into a new product that complements or replaces resource-intensive materials and perfectly meets the requirements of the modern circular economy.

Every year, we process around 40,000 tons of waste glass into foam glass gravel, which consists of pure secondary material. The result is a building material that is stable in terms of settlement and weight, frost-resistant and maintenance-free – and: After its first use, it can be reused without additional processing.

MISAPOR foam glass gravel is manufactured at our Swiss sites in Surava (GR) and Dagmersellen (LU). The product is used in many areas: from building construction and civil engineering to gardening and landscaping, road and infrastructure construction and many special applications.
